Do you have payment plans?

Yes, we require a 50% deposit in order for work to begin on your book. Customizable payment plans are available.
Who will own the rights to my book?

You! Working with us means that, unlike some other companies, you will retain all rights to your book, including your illustrations (for children's book packages), interior files, and cover design. Upon completion of the job, you will receive a folder with all the book files used for your project.
What do I need to do to get started?

What editing services does Pearled Butterfly Publishing offer?

Pearled Butterfly Publishing does not offer editing services. Once the manuscript has been professionally edited, we can begin our work with you. If you need editing, we can assist as we have a list of editors.
Will my book be sold on Amazon?

Yes, once your files are completed, you will receive directions to send your book files to Amazon. For an upcharge, we will submit the files for you.
What is self-publishing?

Self-publishing allows the author to take control of the entire process. The author invests time and money to publish their own book.
Why self-publish?

Self-publishing allows the author to be in complete control of every step of the process. This includes the manuscript, formatting, approving all illustrations or stock photos, and print-on-demand resources. Print-on-demand allows the author to order copies when needed which is more cost-effective. A self-published author keeps 100% of the royalties. It is the responsibility of the author to market the book. Social media, blogs, and websites, and other digital marketing avenues have also made it easier than ever for self-published authors to market their books and interact with readers. Pearled Butterfly Publishing can assist you in the process and take your manuscript to a professionally published book with 100% royalties being yours. During the process, you will be involved and approve every step so the book will be just as you want by the end of the process.
How much control will I have over the process?

At Pearled Butterfly Publishing, the author retains the copyright of the book as well as being known as the publisher for the book. The author does take the responsibility for sending in the copyright and purchasing the ISBN numbers. This is not the responsibility of Pearled Butterfly Publishing due to the confidentiality of the process
How many copies of my book will be printed?

Pearled Butterfly Publishing does not print or offer print-on-demand services. After your book is complete and the final version is uploaded, you can choose how many books to order through KDP, IngramSpark, or another print-on-demand service, or other printers. Books are shipped directly to you. Authors can order any number of books they desire.
Do I need an ISBN?

ISBNs are required if you want your book to be available for online retailers, bookstores, and libraries. Pearled Butterfly Publishing suggests you purchase your own ISBN so that you own all of your work and the book can be available for retailers such as Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com. If you do not intend to sell your book and only plan to print copies to donate or give to family and friends, you may not need an ISBN.
